Our New Mexico Guided Hunts
"Guided by Martin Ortiz, I experienced 100% success across rifle, muzzleloader, and archery hunts thanks to his patient, strategic approach. His collaborative style made the hunt feel personal, rewarding, and more like hunting with a friend than a guide."

You Got Questions?
We got answers. Planning your hunt can be overwhelming but we're here to help. Here are some of the most common questions we get asked.
1What are the camps and lodging like for all-inclusive hunts?
Lodging typically includes comfortable Airbnb accommodations or hotels, depending on the area where your hunt is drawn. Locations are selected for convenience, comfort, and proximity to hunting areas.
2What is the average shot distance for big game hunts?
Typical shot distances range from 250 to 500 yards, depending on terrain, species, and hunting conditions. Hunters should be comfortable shooting at extended ranges.
3What elevation do we hunt at in New Mexico?
Most hunts take place between 6,500 and 10,000 feet, depending on the species and unit. Hunters should be prepared for elevation and varying terrain.
4Is transportation provided to the hunting camp?
Transportation is not typically provided. Hunters flying into New Mexico usually rent a vehicle to travel to camp. Detailed directions will be provided, and airport pickup can be arranged for an additional fee if needed.
5Which airports serve New Mexico hunters?
The primary airports used by visiting hunters are Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) and Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF).
6Are private land cow elk hunts high-fence?
No. All hunts—public and private—are conducted as fair-chase hunts with no high fencing involved.
